Spark of Inspiration
Inspiration is one of those things that all the great minds still have not been able to understand. The word, I have discovered, means ‘breathed upon’. Throughout history many have seen inspiration coming from the divine, this has often gotten the creative type into a lot of trouble as direct communication with what many call God as never been welcomed or encouraged. It is the belief of many that God stopped talking to man over 2,000 years ago.
I have been aware that my work or at least the spark of their concepts has come from the great beyond. That said I feel the spark is only awaking information and wisdoms that lay dormant within as all. Psychologists have supposed inspiration came out of unanswered mental conflict or childhood trauma that may be the case I can not say. It could be that indeed this often driven need to create comes from what has occurred in past lives. I can not believe that all the great songs, art and inventions throughout history have just occurred due to a short circuiting of the brain or a constant referencing of some past psychological disturbance.
I happily see inspiration as just another one of many things in the human condition that points to something outside of our neat and packaged perception of modern life.
